I'm formally announcing my intention to run for President of the United States.

I know it's a big thing to do. One of those BHAG's, or Big Hairy Audacious Goals, that Jim Collins talks about. Don't worry though, I'm not running in this election or the next one. I plan on running in the 2024. Yes, I do realize it's 16 years away, but I'm young. At that time I will assume office on my fiftieth birthday. You see, I was born on January 20, the day that inaugurations are most often held.

I plan on taking the next 16 years and working hard to ensure that I have the right amount of education and experience to be the front man for the most awesome nation in the world.

Now to answer your questions-

1. Am I joking?

Absolutely not

2. Isn't this a bit preposterous?

It's never wrong to set your sights for the stars. I have mapped out a plan over the next 16 years that should prepare me for the duties of the office.

3. What political affiliation?

I'm not exactly sure yet. I've always been Republican, though I'm not perfectly happy with either party. I believe that in 16 years the political scene will be a little different than it is now and there are some interesting ideas out there in the third parties.

4. What are you going to do next?

Work hard and work smart
